User study: Offscreen-evolution of trajectories

This user study is used to evaluate different symbols to display how GPS-tracks proceed outside of the visible map frame. By participating in this study you do a valuable contribution to our research.

Before you take part in the experiment, please note the following points.

  • The experiment takes approximately 10 minutes.
  • We will ask you to solve 9 tasks based on static maps.
  • You can decide to stop the experiment at any time. If you do not answer all questions, all data recorded up to that point will be deleted.
  • The maps and not you as the participant will be assessed.
  • All answers are evaluated anonymously and are used exclusively for scientific studies. By starting the survey, you agree that we collect information while the questions are being answered.
  • In order to guarantee a technically problem-free course of the study, the experiment requires the following prerequisites.
    • Please use one of the following browsers: Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
    • Your screen resolution should be at least 1280x800 pixels.

If you have further questions about the experiment, please contact: Axel Forsch (forsch@igg.uni-bonn.de) and Friederike Amann (s7framan@uni-bonn.de), Geoinformation, University of Bonn, Germany

Tutorial

Before the experiments starts, a short tutorial will introduce the two question types.
