    Annika Bonerath took the second price of the Karl Kraus award (Karl-Kraus-Nachwuchsförderpreis) for her master thesis "Dynamic aggregation of geo-objects for the interactive exploration of research data". The German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (DGPF), the Austrian Society for Surveying and Geoinformation (OVG) and the Swiss Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (SGPF) confer this award for outstanding bachelor and master theses.

    A new optimization-based method for scheduling observations of a global network of radio telescopes, which we developed in cooperation with the VLBI group of our institute, was successfully deployed! On September 15, the two telescopes in Wettzell (Germany) and Kokee (Hawaii) for the first time performed observations according to a schedule computed with our method.
